Super Bowl Appetizers
Cheeseburger Sliders:
1 lb of ground beef
1 package of hawaiin rolls (12 count)
6 slices of american cheddar cheese
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
Optional toppings:
Green pepper, beef bacon, mushrooms, etc.
For butter spread:
1 tbsp of butter
Dash of pepper, salt, garlic, and parsley
Brown your ground beef in a pan. Cook additional toppings you as well. I normally do this in a separate pan so I can do a half and half split. Once beef is cooked, drain the grease and set aside. Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half if not already done. Place the bottom half on a baking pan. Then, layer from the bottom to top as following: sliced cheddar cheese, ground burger, toppings, shredded cheese, and top half of sliders. Brush the rolls with your butter spread and place in a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes or until golden.
Sweet or Spicy Bacon Crackers
Club crackers
1 package of BFF beef bacon
BBQ Rub or Baldridge AP Seasoning
brown sugar
red pepper flakes (if you want spice)
Get a baking sheet with a wire rack and line with crackers.
Cut 1lb of bacon into 4 sections and place 1 slice on each cracker.
Sprinkle with brown sugar, BBQ seasoning, and red pepper flake.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 °F until the bacon is cooked through (25-30min).
Use a spatula to remove each cracker bc they will sometimes stick. Enjoy!
Beef Baguettes
1 ½ pound piece of beef tenderloin, trimmed of fat (You can use just about any type of steak)
1 tablespoon black pepper, freshly ground and coarse
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
Sliced pepperjack cheese
1 tablespoon butter
1 French baguette, cut into 1-inch slices
1 tablespoon olive oil
Garlic aioli:
1 1/2 cup of mayo
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsps rice wine vinegar
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Season your steaks with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook steaks in butter for 4-5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness. (For medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°F, medium, 140°F, medium-well, 145°F.). Set aside to cool. Cut the baguette into slices and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes. Mix up your garlic aioli. Spread some garlic aioli on the baguette, place steak bite on top, with some pepperjack cheese. Place in the oven for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted and enjoy.
